How it works
Our machine utilises HIFEM (high-intensity focused electromagnetic) energy to induce approximately 20,000 supramaximal muscle contractions in a 30 min session. A supramaximal contraction forces nearly 100% of the targeted muscle fibers to contract and holds them in that intensely contracted state. Compare this to a regular workout, where your body would only allow you to activate about 40-60% of your muscle fibers.
Since your muscles are subjected to a workload they could never achieve naturally, the tissue is forced to adapt to such extreme conditions and responds with deep remodelling of its inner structure. As your body repairs the area over the following weeks, it thickens the existing muscle fibers (hypertrophy) and creates new protein strands, resulting in a denser, stronger and more visible muscle.
Due to the extreme energy demand created by the intense contractions, the muscles signal the neighboring fat cells to rapidly break down (lipolysis) and release them as free fatty acids to fuel this localised workout. We can also adjust the intensity to suit your comfort level, but it is recommended to push yourself to a little discomfort in order to achieve maximum efficiency and results. After the treatment, you may feel tenderness and muscle soreness for 1-2 days, similar to a heavy-lifting session at the gym.
